David Chavez
Vice President & Managing Partner
David’s career began in 1981 as a laborer with Artcraft Construction. When Jerry Barnier purchased Artcraft’s Concrete Division in 1985, Suntec was born and David joined the team. Rising through the ranks, David went from working as a laborer to a finisher, then from foreman to superintendent of the Finish Division.
A decade after David joined the team, he was promoted to Vice President and Managing Partner where he is now responsible for overseeing Suntec’s concrete finishing crews and the scheduling of all concrete pours performed. His ability to seek out opportunities that positively impact everyone at Suntec make him a well-respected original partner, today.
When David isn’t in the office or field, he is spending time with his wife, Patsy, and their three children and two grandchildren. He enjoys working out in the gym, cycling, hiking, and taking part in the great outdoors.
