Jerry Barnier founded Suntec Concrete as a small startup in 1984, when he acquired the concrete division of his former employer. Today, thanks to Jerry’s leadership, Suntec is one of the largest concrete-only contractors in the United States, annually ranked as #1 in Arizona in Engineering News Record’s Top Specialty Contractors in the Southwest. Suntec has grown to 1,650 employees, and has poured nearly 1 million cubic yards of concrete for some of the highest-profile developments in the Southwest.

Jerry’s success in expanding Suntec grew from his hard work and talent for creative problem solving. He is passionate about trying new ideas and pushing the envelope of what is possible in a series of the most challenging, critically timed, and technically demanding jobs in the concrete industry. Jerry works closely with developers, in partnership with his dedicated team, on continuous innovation and improvement of new project designs and constructability.
