Jorge Martinez

Vice President | Structural Division Manager

As Structural Division Manager and a Managing Partner, Jorge feels at home when he is outdoors. As a native of Chihuahua, Mexico, Jorge moved to the U.S. in 1987 and joined Suntec in 1991 as a laborer. He believes the perils of working in the Arizona heat can teach a lesson in teamwork.

“If you go to the job site and it’s 105, never show up with a cold drink just for yourself. Showing up with something for everyone makes everyone feel like they are part of the same team.” His team-oriented attitude made him an admired structural superintendent and continues to build his reputation as structural division manager. At this point, he oversees more than 450 workers.

Soccer runs deep in Jorge’s family. Jorge and his wife, Neyma, spend their free time together coaching their children, Jorge Jr., Mateo, and Brianna. His family has grown up to believe that “Ability is in your head, not in your legs.” A true Martinez family value.
